The situation
Prolia Finder helps patients, caregivers, and health care professionals find which pharmacies carry Prolia and which sites inject it. It wasn’t user friendly, which meant confusion and a lack of confidence. And the data was often outdated and took too many steps to reach, so people bounced.
What we set out to do
Make finding a location the whole point of the site, and make the data something people could trust.
How it went
We held a workshop with two of the best Prolia representatives in our region and listened to how they used the current tool. Walking our personas through the site confirmed the two problems. Over the next few meetings we worked through a new sitemap that flattened the experience, and took a first swing at the redesign by rapidly prototyping an interface based on the sites the personas and the reps used most.
What came out of it
An interface simplified to the search and what you needed once you found a location. A backend generated from the sites’ own input, with checks to confirm submissions. Forms reworked to streamline data entry.
What happened after
HCPs could spend more time with patients, and patients on treatment. The redesign became popular enough around Amgen that the structure was adopted for a sister drug and for the main drug finder, AmgenTherapyLocator.com.
